Find the keywords your resume is missing.

Hiring teams search and filter by the skills in the job description. Nextrova pulls those skills out of the posting and checks which ones your resume actually shows, so you know exactly what to add, and where.

How it works

  1. Add the job description

Nextrova extracts 8 to 20 concrete requirements: skills, tools, methods, certifications, languages, degrees and years of experience.

  2. Add your resume

Upload a PDF or Word file, or paste the text.

  3. See the gaps

Every requirement is marked found or missing, with the importance the posting gives it.

How the keyword scan works

Matching runs on your resume’s text, so a keyword only counts as found if it is really there.

  • Requirements from the posting

Skills, tools, certifications, languages and experience, from must-have to nice-to-have.

  • Variants and abbreviations

“JavaScript” and “JS”, “Kubernetes” and “K8s”, or a skill written in another language.

  • Whole-word matching

“Java” does not count as found just because your resume says “JavaScript”.

  • Evidence check

When the AI cites a passage as evidence, that passage has to exist in your resume.

  • Missing keywords

The terms the posting stresses that your resume never mentions.

  • Where to add them

Suggestions point to the role or section where each skill belongs.

Keywords, without keyword stuffing

Keywords matter because recruiters use them: to search the applicant pool, to filter for must-have skills, and to skim your resume for the tools they care about. If the posting asks for “stakeholder management” and your resume only says “worked with business teams”, a search can miss you.

A list of keywords pasted at the bottom of a resume rarely helps, though. A recruiter who finds a skill in your summary will look for it in your experience. The goal is to name each skill you genuinely have the way the posting names it, and to show it in a bullet point where you used it.

Nextrova separates what you already cover from what is missing, so you can decide what is honest to add. For a skill you have but never mentioned, add it to a relevant bullet. For a skill you lack, the report shows how much the posting relies on it, so you can judge whether to apply.

Questions

What is a resume keyword scanner?

A tool that compares the skills and terms in a job description with your resume and shows which ones are missing. Nextrova does this requirement by requirement, on your resume’s actual text.

How many keywords should my resume match?

There is no magic percentage. Cover every must-have requirement you genuinely meet; nice-to-haves help, but rarely decide on their own.

Should I copy the job description into my resume?

No. Use the posting’s vocabulary for the skills you have, inside real bullet points. Copied text is easy for a recruiter to spot.

Does it work across languages?

Yes, even when your resume and the posting are in different languages: the scan looks for translations of each requirement, such as “English” written as “Anglais” in a French CV.

Is it free?

Your first scan is free without an account, and a free account includes 3 analyses a month.
